Annotation:
The article presents a literature review on the modeling of multi-storey building structures. An analysis of various methods for modeling structures is considered. It is shown that the theory of similarity, in turn, ensures the validity of data transfer and allows the use of model test data for analyzing the behavior of full-scale (prototype) structures. Conducting model tests makes it possible to determine the dynamic characteristics of the designed structure with sufficient accuracy and, if necessary, to make corrections at the design stage. As an example, the modeling of a dynamic beam problem is considered. Free vibrations of a beam with a rectangular cross-section and uniformly distributed mass are examined.
