The article examines the integration of the arts into the architectural appearance of Dushanbe, analyzes the historical stages of the development of this interaction and continuity in the field of architectural, decorative and monumental art, and identifies areas for finding new creative solutions that meet the modern challenges of artistic transformation of the urban environment. It is noted that the 80s and 90s of the twentieth century were characterized not only by an intensive search for a synthesis of art and architecture in the urban environment, but also by the definition of originality in the appearance of large architectural and artistic complexes and ensembles.
