This article presents the results of a study and analysis of approaches to improving the efficiency of electricity supply through the utilization of renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy. The primary objective of the study is to assess the potential of solar energy for increasing electricity generation, reducing power transmission losses, and enhancing the reliability of electricity supply, particularly in remote areas located at considerable distances from centralized power grids. In this context, the application of photovoltaic panels is considered as one of the alternatives and environmentally sustainable methods of electricity  generation. The study analyzes a range of scientific publications addressing the utilization of solar energy, stand-alone photovoltaic systems, hybrid power supply systems, solar tracking systems, methods for determining the optimal capacity of solar panels and battery storage systems, as well as approaches to reducing electrical energy losses. The analysis demonstrates that the use of solar panels in remote areas can provide an effective means of supplying consumers with electricity. The implementation of such systems can reduce dependence on long-distance transmission lines and conventional fuels, minimize electricity transmission losses, and improve the reliability of power supply. Furthermore, increasing the installed capacity of solar panels and properly selecting their number and rated capacity can contribute to higher electricity generation and better alignment of power production with the actual demand of consumers.
