This article examines the acoustic renovation of an open-air theater, using the open-air theater on Ismoili Somoni Street in Dushanbe as an example. It presents the key criteria for assessing acoustic conditions in theater halls, as well as specific approaches and methods for creating a favorable acoustic environment in open-air theaters. A survey and analysis of the existing architectural layout and the interior surfaces of the open-air theater's enclosing structures were conducted, and corresponding calculations of the existing acoustic conditions were performed. The results of the work are presented, concluding that the theater, based on its key acoustic parameters, does not provide a favorable acoustic environment and requires appropriate acoustic renovation. Based on these findings, recommendations for the acoustic renovation of the open-air theater were developed.
