This paper presents the results of the study of the Al–Li–Ce ternary system and the construction of its phase diagram. An analysis of the effect of lithium and cerium content on the formation of solid solutions and intermetallic compounds in aluminum alloys was performed, and quasi-binary sections and their eutectic and peritectic transformations were identified. The alloys were studied using X-ray phase analysis (XPA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA), which allowed determining the phase compositions, crystallization temperatures, and non-variant equilibria. The constructed phase diagram of the Al–Li–Ce system makes it possible to determine phase and structural changes in the alloys, which is of practical importance in the development of lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant aluminum alloys for the aerospace industry.
Keywords: Al–Li–Ce ternary system, phase diagram, quasi-binary sections, eutectic, peritectic, liquidus projection.
