The Zarafshan River plays a key role in the region's water management and industry. However, high turbidity and intense sedimentation create serious environmental and economic problems. This article examines the design of a complex of hydraulic structures designed to remove sediment from the river and utilize it for mining. Sediment management in mountain rivers is a systematic approach to creating a complex of structures for the treatment of the Zarafshan River's runoff and its industrial applications. The developed complex includes a low-head concrete dam with pipes at the foundation and sediment transport systems. The study showed that the proposed measures can simultaneously increase the useful volume of water resources, thereby increasing electricity generation and providing an additional source of mineral raw materials for the mining industry.
