Annotation:

The article examines the features of the planning structure and architectural character of cities and districts of republican subordination in the Republic of Tajikistan, using the Fayzabad district as a case study. The influence of historical development and natural-climatic conditions on the formation of the built environment is analyzed, as well as issues of preserving cultural heritage and integrating traditional architectural techniques into contemporary urban planning practice.
